Well, i’m not a very big-deal videogame player,
That’s mostly because I’m terrible at most games.
So when I picked this up, I figured it was just another one of these “Here, pick me up and I’ll be your friend” games that I can’t possibly play.
It turns out that I was very wrong.
This is a game that, while clocking in at a certain number of hours or maybe a few hours more than that, is actually pretty darn fun. It made me laugh, I played it in front of people, and they all seemed pretty happy to be there.
It’s available on 3DS, and all you have to do is follow these directions:
1) Start off by turning off your 3DS, giving it at least 30 minutes to cool off.
2) Put your 3DS on your friend’s old, used Nintendo DS or not-dead PSP or something, and turn it on.
3) After the system gets tired of waiting for you to put your 3DS down, you’ll get the Nintendo logo. Tap the X button on your friend’s DS to begin.
4) The status bar will say “Load DS: x of x”, and if you load the DS successfully, you’ll go straight to the beginning of the game, which will be the briefing room.
5) Read the briefing and actually do it, because otherwise you can’t leave town.
6) Read the briefing and save.
7) Go into the menu.
8) Select “Edit”
9) Select “Play all”
10) Go outside.
11) Try to trigger the music.
12) If you can’t, the game is probably done.
13) If you can, go back to the menu, select “Options”
14) Select “Exit”
15) Choose the character you want to play as.
16) Select “Start”
17) You’ll get a whole new adventure, and you can do a bunch of stuff.
You can leave town and meet up with some other people, go into a dungeon, do a bunch of stuff, throw a bunch of stuff at people, shop, and even meet a couple of the characters.
