About
Holedown is a puzzle platformer with strong puzzle elements inspired by games such as Portal, Machinarium and Journey. Most puzzles are solved by placing blocks on a puzzle board, but this is only one of many ways to solve puzzles. During the game, Mr. Trout uncovers a conspiracy, part of which is that he is missing memories from his life. The other part is that time is strictly linear and loops. Therefore, time can be sped up or slowed down and the order of the puzzles as well as the time in which the solutions are found are not fixed.
Holedown won the award for “Best Indie Game” at the annual D.I.C.E. Awards in 2014. It was also nominated for “Best Story,” “Best Art Direction” and “Best Indie Game” at the Game Developers Choice Awards in 2015. Holedown was released on the iPad and on the Mac App Store on November 23, 2013.

The game was planned to be released for the Xbox One as well, but it was cancelled. As a result, there is no Xbox One version of the game.
When the game was submitted to the D.I.C.E. Awards in 2014, it was nominated for Best Debut Game.
